I woke up about 4:40 a.m. last night with terrible nausea. And it's the worst kind, because it won't relieve me-- I haven't thrown up yet. It just comes and goes in waves and keeps me from doing anything productive for too long. Gill came in this morning and told us she has pretty much the same thing. We all ate dinner together last night, so if it were the food, Anna and Kaitlin would have it, too. But it seems as if it's a bug, and thus, I've been quarantined for the day and forbidden to touch the children. The worst. Naomi gave me the project of organizing the tool closet, which I try to do when the nauseous wave pulls back, but mostly I've been reading (Thanks for your Kindle, Mom!) and sleeping and drinking Chinese Gatorade. I could go out and help, but we can't risk the bug going through the entire orphanage. And even though it's a bummer, my spirits are high, and I'm confident it will all be okay.
I'm lying on my sick bed while orphan babies cry to be held in the background? :( Yes, I'm in China.
